TRIKONE is proud to honor HRISHIKESH SATHAWANE with the ACHIEVEMENT AWARD for his valuable service to the South Asian LGBTQ community
Hrishi, as he is known to all friends and family, has been involved with Trikone ever since he moved to the bay area in 2000. He initially started volunteering for events, and later on became the publisher of Trikone magazine, a board member and even Co-Chairperson of Trikone. He has been actively involved in the organizing of Trikone events such as DesiQ 2006, the annual Kulture Kulcha and Pride parties, the monthly potlucks and movie nights and the mail processing potlucks. He has taken the initiative to collaborate with other ally organizations such as the Billy deFrank Center, PFLAG, SBQA, GAPA and many more. Hrishi has always been a beacon to the community, being a mentor to many, and opening his home and heart to the community. Hrishi continues to provide outstanding service and support to the desi queer community.
